DNV approved as EFISC-GTP certification body
The standard targets good practices and food safety along the feed supply chain.
The EFISC-GTP (European Feed and Food Ingredient Safety Certification and Good Trading Practice) is the result of the certification schemes EFISC and GTP joining forces. The merger is supported by the European feed and food ingredient sector organisations COCERAL, FEDIOL, Starch Europe, EBB and Euromalt. The EFISC-GTP certification schemes cover the collection, transport, storage, trading and industrial manufacturing of safe feed and food ingredients.
“We’re pleased to be part of this harmonized assurance scheme which positively contributes to fair trading practices and to the free movement of feed and food ingredients within the EU market and third-party countries. The EU-wide implementation increases transparency, improves efficiency and customer confidence,” says Amanda McCarthy, Global Food & Beverage Manager in Business Assurance in DNV.
The EFISC-GTP certification schemes are based on specific technical documents issued with the support of the above-mentioned organizations. They support safety throughout the food chain up to the consumers by making the best use of the sector's experience and expertise.
As an approved certification body by the EFISC-GTP, DNV can deliver certification services throughout the value chain.
