DNV GL's Clean Technology Centre (CTC) in Singapore came in 2nd runners up at the Norway – Asia Business Award 2015 (NABA 2015) ceremony held at the Norway Business Asia Summit 2015 in Gurgaon, Delhi from 16-18 April 2015.
The NABA is awarded to a Norwegian-owned company in Asia that has distinguished itself through growth, innovation or otherwise in the Asian country it specifically operates or in Asia in general.
The award was received by Dr Sanjay C Kuttan, Country Manager of DNV GL – Energy in Singapore. Norway Business Association of Singapore (NBAS), in cooperation with their sister organizations in Asia, had established the NABA. Innovation Norway in Singapore had nominated DNV GL CTC for the award and by the end of the nomination period in Singapore DNV GL CTC was elected as the final candidate from NBAS. The CTC came closely behind eventual winner Jotun, China and Aker Solutions, Malaysia.

The CTC was established in 2010 in Singapore through the joint vision of DNVGL’s CEO Dr Henrik Madsen and the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB). The award is in recognition of the innovative work and supportive efforts in building a clean technology ecosystem in Singapore and the APAC region over the last 5 years. To support EDB’s vision, CTC is committed to grow her technical competency and establish this shared vision covering all the key areas of DNVGL Energy advisory services under one roof, which facilitates providing advisory that addresses more complex challenges faced by Asia and range from strategy and policy to power generation and trading to transmission and distribution and energy efficiency.

This has resulted in CTC doubling in size since it started in 2010.”
