Do companies care about the environment?

This survey of 3,539 professionals from the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors investigated the way preservation of the environment is managed, the main risk areas and the initiatives implemented in different sectors.

It shows how corporate strategies take environmental issues into account, especially when it comes to companies in high risk industries.

Some key findings

  • Chemical companies show the highest commitment to environmental management.
  • Size of the company is not a factor: 80% of the companies employing less than 49 people confirm the importance played by safeguarding the environment for their businesses.
  • Monitoring processes to evaluate compliance with legal and other requirements (75%), together with regular maintenance of premises (68%), are the key initiatives undertaken by most companies to mitigate risks.
