This shows a strong commitment and involvement at all levels for continual improvement."
He adds, "This indeed is a significant contract for us. The implementation of IQRS by the world leader in cigarette filter design & manufacturing opens up avenues for others in this industry to follow cue.”
Customer satisfaction
According to Mr. Surajit Ghosh, Chief Executive Officer, ITC Filtrona, “IQRS is a constant endeavour and not an end in itself." He continues saying, "We are committed to continual improvement and we will strive to not only maintain our current standing on a consistent basis but take strides to go further."
Surajit Ghosh says, "We appreciate the DNV project team for the guidance provided to us along our journey toward IQRS L7. Without the support and direction provided to us by DNV…this journey may not have culminated to this success."
Besides the IQRS L7 system implementation, the customer has adopted the Integrated Management System standard, ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 standards…awarded by DNV. Additionally, ITC Filtrona is also certified to Social Accountability standard, SA 8000:2008.
Realizing goals through certification
Project Team Leader, G. Ananthasubramaniam says, "The management’s commitment to steer the company’s processes with a close association and participation of its stake holders is demonstrated by the measurement of “Quality” in managing business. This refocuses and gives the management confidence in their pursuit of ‘Managing for the sustained success of their organisation’ in an existing complex, demanding, and ever changing environment in the marketplace."
He concludes saying, "With this IQRS L7 adoption, ITC Filtrona reinforces confidence to its customers about the company’s commitment to align to their changing needs in relation to cost, innovation, flexibility, pace of action, and environmental friendliness.”
