DNV SeaSkill™ supporting documents provide a relevant reference point for the maritime industry to measure competence and training
Standards are the rules developed and used by DNV SeaSkill™ to verify competence, competence management and training. They are also used to certify management systems, simulator systems, learning programmes and for designing tests to evaluate individual competencies.
The objective of these standards is to provide relevant reference points for the measurement of competence and training within the maritime industry. Additionally their adoption ensures a uniform quality of service and a mechanism for the harmonisation of existing competence and training.
